[00:00:02] I'm Rich Young iii. And this is an amazing thing. [00:00:17] I'm here to facilitate learning the word of God on a fundamental level. [00:00:24] So join me and let's grow together and build a relationship with our Creator. [00:00:29] And that starts now. [00:00:38] Hello everyone and welcome to an amazing thing. This is our early week show where we cover special lessons, current events, things happening around the world. [00:00:47] This is our continuation in our series from now to Eternity. This is lesson number four. [00:00:55] Israel builds the Third Temple. And all of these things that we're studying is, are between now and what's just ahead of us, all the way to the battle of Armageddon and the return of Jesus Christ. Here I'll be showing a couple of charts in addition to our from now to Eternity chart that'll show a different couple of different aspects of what it was like during the time of the temple plan. [00:01:19] Also, if you're a subscriber on Apple, Spotify and Good Pods or however you receive this in an audio form, you won't be able to see the charts that I put up. I'll explain them as best I can. But you might want to go ahead and subscribe to YouTube also. That way you'll have access to the video and be able to see the things we're putting up or go to the website. You can view them there and they are categorized on YouTube to where you can separate the early week show from the midweek show to the end of the week show, which is our question and answer and you can continue. Our midweek show is the one that has the continual Bible study and you can go there and subscribe, ring the bell and make sure that you, we know that you're listening or watching us through one of those formats. Okay, I'm going to show you the, the chart from where we are now. We are now in this lesson covering number seven. And that is the third Temple built on the Temple Mount. And so all of the things that we're going over are things that are fairly close. You know, we know, we hear people say things like, well, this could be a hundred years or fifty years. I don't believe there's enough time left and God's time plan for it to be much longer before these things start to come to pass. [00:02:44] And so I'm going to do my best to show you and where they are so that you can view current events and things happening around the world and know where you are. [00:02:56] Okay, we're gonna begin the history of the temple. And the beginning of the temple was a tabernacle that was a. A structure that was not a permanent structure. And it was made so they could take it down as God would have them to move. [00:03:12] They would have to tear down the temple and move it and then put it back up. [00:03:17] Them being a nomadic people at this time, moving from place to place. [00:03:22] So God showed them how to make the temple, all the measurements of the temple, as well as the implements that they would need to perform the sacrifices and the offerings that God gave them, instructions how to do the sacrifices and the offerings. [00:03:38] This was God's plan to. To dwell with his physical people of Israel. [00:03:46] You know, Israel was plunged into sin, or the people of the earth was plunged in the sin of the time of Adam and Eve. So God could not dwell with human kind in the fullness of his glory. So this was a way that God could walk in the presence of his people at this particular time, veiled from them in his full glory, so that they could have communication with him and know what it was that he would have them to do to continue to be his people. [00:04:18] The tabernacle was a way for God to do that. He could dwell closely with them and teach them that God was the center of the Jewish life. Now I'm going to show a picture here that shows the tabernacle and what that looked like. This is a rudimentary picture, but we get an idea of what this is. We see the temple here in the middle and all the tribes of Israel surrounding the temple. This shows us that God intended to be the center of his people's lives. Now, this is the simple. He's the center of his people's life in the physical aspect at the time that we're talking about now. But in the time to come, as we live, he also still wants to be the center of our lives in a spiritual form. [00:05:06] And so this is a picture of what that looked like. And the tabernacle plan continued to be a temporary structure for 500 years, from the time he gave it to Moses to the time they built a permanent structure here. Now, in 2nd Samuel 24, we get to the point. About 1000 BC, and David had sinned against the Lord. [00:05:30] There was a plague that was brought on the people. [00:05:33] And God instructed David on the way to stop the plague that was to go in Persia to buy the threshing floor of Arana, the Jebusite. And he was. He would go and buy that, and that would end the plagues that was on the people. And so to buy all the oxen and everything that went with the Temple Mount with the with the threshing floor and offer that as a sacrifice to God and that would stop the plague that was on Israel at that time. [00:06:06] The Temple Mount is where the offering for sin would be offered from that point forever. Now we remember back In Genesis chapter 22, verses 1 through 19, God did tempt Abraham to sacrifice Isaac in the play this place that he would show him that. Now that's a thousand years prior to where we are studying this now. At the time of David, God stayed Abraham's hand and he did not sacrifice Isaac. [00:06:35] And so this is the same place that David bought the threshing floor from you run of the zebra site, which is known as the Temple Mount today. And that's where it is now. David at this point desired to build God a temple. [00:06:53] I'm going to read this. This is first Chronicles 28, verses 2 and 3. [00:06:58] Then David the king stood on his feet and said, hear me, my brethren, my people. As for me, I had in mine heart to build a house for rest of the ark of the covenant of the Lord. For the Lord's footstool of our God had made ready for the building. But God said unto me, thou shalt not build a house for my name because thou has been a man of war and has shed much blood. [00:07:29] Well, God didn't want his house built by a person of war. He wanted to be. To be a house of peace. [00:07:37] And so David gathered up the implements and prepared him, but God wouldn't allow him to do it. [00:07:46] And so God told David that his son Solomon would build the temple. And so David gave Solomon the pattern and the treasures that he needed to do so. And so Solomon completed the temple in 968 B.C. in the place where God had instructed, the place that David his father bought the threshing floor of on and the Jebusite. [00:08:09] And they constructed the temple there according to the pattern. And Solomon prayed a dedicatory prayer in the temple. And a part of the prayer went like this. If your people pray toward this place where you have chosen to place your name here and forgive, they built it there. And in his prayer he stated that it was if the people should sin and be taken out of this place, if they'll turn their face toward this place and repent and pray, you might bring them back into the. Into this place which was the essence of what Solomon was praying there. [00:08:51] And so they say that every synagogue in the world is built so that it's turned toward the Temple Mount. [00:09:01] So that when the people in the synagogue stand to pray, they are praying toward the Temple Mount. Now, I've never seen one, but they say they have a Temple Mount compass that no matter where in the world you are, it always points toward the Temple Mount. And so I would love to see one, but I have never seen. But they say such a thing exists. This is Second Chronicles, chapter 7, verse 1 and 2. Now, Solomon had made an end of prayer. [00:09:27] Fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and sacrifices. And the glory of the Lord filled the house. And the priest could not enter into the house because the Lord's glory filled the house. The presence of the Lord was so powerful that they could not go in that place. And so God was pleased. He brought fire down to consume the sacrifice. [00:09:55] He consumed the place, and it was a fantastic thing there. Now we're going to go on to the end of the first temple of what happened. Now, during Solomon's kingship, he had sinned in the eyes of God. His kingdom was broken into two kingdoms. [00:10:11] Israel the kingdom in the north, and Judah the kingdom in the south. Now, around 721 BC, the Northern Kingdom of Israel was taken into Assyrian captivity because of the sin of idolatry. And so Israel was constantly taking on the. The things that the surrounding heathen nations were doing and made it a part of their worship. And God would not stand for that. And so to their punishment, he allowed the king of Assyria to come in and take them captive for that sin. [00:10:45] Now he took the northern kingdom of Israel. Israel is broken into kingdoms. The. The northern kingdom, which had 11 tribes, and then you had Judah, which consisted of one tribe, the tribe of Judah and, and I think Benjamin. So two tribes there. [00:11:03] Now they got to the point where they were into idolatry and worshiping all kinds of iniquities. And so God allowed them to go into captivity for their punishment. Now, this time for them it was Babylon, and that was Nebuchadnezzar who came and got them. This is Jeremiah 25:11 12. [00:11:25] And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment. All these nations serve the king of Babylon seventy years, and it shall come to pass. When the seventy years are accomplished, I will punish king of Babylon. And that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquity, the land of the Chaldeans shall be made a perpetual desolation. [00:11:49] And it is a desolation to this day where the old kingdom of Babylon stood. [00:11:57] And so this prophecy tells us that it's going to happen to Judah. The punishment of the kingdom will be a perpetual punishment for Babylon, which made the Perpetual desolation. That's who's going to do this to you. [00:12:14] And so he came down, he destroyed the temple, destroyed the wall, and destroyed the city. And this happened about 586 BC and so second kings 25, verses 9 and 10 says this. And he Nebuchadnezzar, who is talking about burned the house of the Lord and the king's house and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man's house he burnt with fire. [00:12:39] And the armies of the Chadians that were there with the captain of the guard broke down the walls of Jerusalem roundabout. So they tore down the walls rules and destroyed all the houses, destroyed the temple. [00:12:52] This was a total destruction of Jerusalem along with the prominent buildings that were there beside the temple. And so he really, really just tore the whole place down. Judah remained in Babylon's captivity until 538 B.C. so they were there for the 70 years that was prophesied by Jeremiah. [00:13:10] And so now we're about to begin the second temple there. That was the destruction of the first temple. Now the building of the second temple was prophesied about a hundred years prior to this time. And that was prophesied by isaiah in chapter 44, verse 28. [00:13:32] That saith Cyrus, he is my shepherd and shall perform all my pleasure, even saying to Jerusalem thou shall be built, and to the Temple thou foundation shall be laid. And we know the Medes and the Persians conquered Babylon. That was Nebuchadnezzar. So Cyrus and Darius, though that kingdom came down and conquered the Babylonians, and they allowed Israel to go back into Jerusalem. They allowed him to build the temple and the walls of the city. All the financing was done by the Medes and the Persians prophesied a hundred years earlier. Now we know that they brought Cyrus the writings of Isaiah and told him, you know, you're prophesying our Bible. He said, what does it say about me? You're supposed to rebuild our temple and I sit in our wall, Let me see it. And they get the thing. Because Nebuchadnezzar had kept all those things locked up in a, in a place and didn't squander them. And they brought it to him. He saw it and he said, okay, go ahead and build it. And so he paid for it. And this temple was completed by Zerubbabel in 5:16. After they had done all the, the temple and the wall and different things, there was still a couple of periods where they stopped, but then they started back. So 516 was the completion of it. [00:14:51] And it began to, began to be beautified and remodeled by Harriet the Great around 19 BC. [00:14:58] And so he remodeled it, made it more beautiful. And the completion of that. [00:15:05] Harry the Great started it. He didn't live to see the completion, but it was completed about 25 AD. [00:15:13] And that's the temple that stood at the time of Jesus. And you know Jesus was the one who prophesied that that temple would be destroyed. And they said that Herod had done such a fantastic job with that temple, the remodeling and making it more beautiful, that anyone who has never seen Herod's temple has never seen a beautiful building in his life. So it was fantastic to see. But Jesus prophesied that it would be destroyed. This is Matthew 24:1 2. And Jesus went out and departed from the temple. And his disciples came unto him to show him the buildings of the temple. [00:15:50] And Jesus said to them, see ye all these things. Verily I say unto you, there should not be one stone left upon another that will not be thrown down. And so this sort of shook up his, his apostles and you know, his disciples because they wonder when is this going to happen? You saying this is going to be torn down. [00:16:13] The prophecy of Jesus was so complete until a lot of the so called experts disagree on where the temple actually stood. [00:16:26] No one knows for sure where it stood. And so that came in and that was done. So that was done about 70 AD and that's a historical fact. [00:16:37] We all know when that, that whether people believe in the Bible or not, we know that that happened. The Roman general Titus came in and destroyed the temple in 70 A.D. [00:16:49] and that was the destruction of the second temple. And this time Israel began to be sifted through the nations. It was illegal for Israel to remain in Jerusalem at that time or in Israel proper. [00:17:04] And so for 1878 years they were sifted through the nations and they went through the Holocaust. And all those terrible things happened. [00:17:15] And we'll go over those in another lesson, especially in our midweek lesson, so we'll be able to study that in detail. [00:17:23] Now the Third Temple era began in 1948 after the terrible holocaust of World War II. [00:17:30] The nations of the world decided there was time for Israel to have a homeland and land was partitioned off. [00:17:39] By that time the British Mandate was the territory of Palestine was called that and given to the Holocaust survivors and and offered to the descendants of the Arabs. [00:17:50] But they refused their their portion and chose to attack Israel. The Jews who had accepted it and they went back to their previous name, Israel. So they attacked Israel because Israel accepted the land and they didn't want Israel there and they attacked Israel. And after the battle was there, Israel had gained territory. [00:18:13] So we know that the Arab descendants were defeated and the newly named Israel country was victorious also. They expanded the borders after they were victorious. So you know what they say is in war to the victor goes to spoil. So they were able to gain territory and so that's what they did. Now 20 years later in 1967, the Arabs got together and attacked Israel once again. [00:18:41] Israel was victorious in this short war known as the Six Day War. [00:18:47] And it expanded its borders once again to include the west bank and East Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. So every time they attack Israel, Israel's been victorious and they've been able to broaden their their borders. And so Israel seeking after this Israel gained territory. Now they seeking to appease the world instead of just obeying God and going in and occupying the land like they should have done, they put the Temple Mount back or they gave it to the Islamic Waf and that's controlled by Jordan as the overseers of the Temple. [00:19:29] Islam contains that. The Temple Mount which they call Haram Al Sharif is Islam's third holiest site. [00:19:40] Even though there's no mention of the Temple Madar Haram Al Sharif in the Quran at all. [00:19:46] The Arabs made it illegal for the Jews to pray on the Temple Mount even though it's known that it's the Jews most holy site and that's mentioned in the Jewish writings in the Old Testament of the Bible several times where God said I will put my name there. So we know that that is a true thing and Israel belongs there. [00:20:08] The Jews are consistently praying on the Western Wall. [00:20:12] Israel has become to, they're coming to insist on their right to play on the Temple Mount once again. And those numbers are growing day by day by day. So it's more people now demanding that they have the right to pray on the Temple Mount. And so we are now in the, in the time of Israel's third Temple. Now the Abraham accords that are put forth by President Trump has become very attractive to some Arab nations and more and more of them are starting to lean toward this agreement. [00:20:47] Let's look at the scripture that tells us there is going to be an agreement that is agreed upon not only by the Arab nations, but by the nations of the world. [00:20:56] This is called the Confirmation of the Covenant. And that was our last lesson before this one in the from now to Eternity series. There this is Daniel, chapter 9, verse 27. [00:21:09] And he an international leader known as the Antichrist at some point shall confirm the covenant. The Abrahamic covenants will be referring to with many for one week, a week of year, seven year, a seven year period. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. [00:21:29] And for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate even until the consummation. And that should be poured upon the desolate. Okay, we're going to take these things one by one, little bit by little bit to really understand what this saying to us now, this world leader spoken of that we just talked about is going to confirm Israel's right to exist in the homeland there, the land where they are now the holy land of Israel. [00:21:59] Now whether there be them raising their hands and voting that way, or a document that they all sign or how it's done, the leaders of the world are going to confirm that Israel has a right to exist in the land where she is right now. [00:22:14] And so that's going to be confirmed. This leader of the world also will confirm every presence in the land in the west bank. The Bible calls it Judea Samaria, the world calls it the west bank of the occupied territories is what they call that. [00:22:29] So not only is the world leader going to confirm Israel's right to exist, he's going to confirm that the Arabs have a place there as well. This lets us know that there will be a two state solution. Now you we hear in the news all the time that there has to be a two state solution. And that's what it's going to be. [00:22:48] And there's 16 or 17 groups of Jewish settlers that are out there in the territory that they're going to give to the Arabs out there in the West Bank. And so they will be allowed to stay out there if they choose. And a great number of them is, are going to take that deal. They'll say, well we have Arabs living in Jerusalem proper as a part of your country. [00:23:17] We certainly will respect their property rights. They could stay out here and we they'll keep their houses, their businesses and all these things. [00:23:27] And so a great number of them are going to choose to do that. That really would be a mistake. [00:23:33] Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24, 15 and 16 that the Jewish settlers who remain in this territory will have to flee at the midway point of the seven years. [00:23:46] So we know a great number of the settlers will stay out there. [00:23:50] Jesus said this will be, this is where the great tribulation will begin from. [00:23:54] And there will be slaughtered there like never have been before nor ever again shall be. So it's going to be a great enough number out there of the people who will be decimated by probably the resurgence of groups like Hamas and so on and so forth that will wreak havoc and it's going to be a terrible, terrible situation here. Now the Abraham Accords, the, the present agreement that is going to lead us to the confirmation of the covenant. It can in that, that agreement there because contain a phrase that is going to be directly have to do with this because it says, the phrase says that all people should have the right to worship on the Temple Mount in a manner that relates to their belief system. [00:24:50] Well, Israel can't worship without a temple. So that one phrase in the Abraham because will cause them to have a temple as well as other people who want to go to the Temple Mount to worship because it is a holy site in history, they will be permitted to. [00:25:07] And so Israel will have to build the temple as well as all the implements thereof to perform the sacrifices that they're required to do in their belief system. And that consists of the altar for the sacrifice to be killed, all the implements for retrieving the blood of the sacrifice. And and those sorts of things, they'll have to have the labor for the washing. [00:25:31] That is where the priest washes his hands and plunges them in there after they kill the sacrifice inside the temple, you know, we there is the holy place where the candelabra is, the table of show bread as well as the altar of incense. And they have all those implements. You can go to the Temple Institute and view those instruments. And they are magnificent. To see inside the holiest of holies, the Ark of the Covenant was kept there. [00:25:58] All these things are necessary for Israel's worship. And these things are going to reside in a newly built Jewish temple. And that is going to happen. [00:26:09] And most of the temple experts who understand the Temple Mountain, how things are built, such as Haim Richmond and those people and others, they say that the temple and the holiest of holies was always located north of where the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqs mosque is. So the Muslim shrines will remain on the Temple Mount along with the soon to be rebuilt Jewish temple which verifies that the order outer court will be trodden down by the Gentiles. The Bible tells us that. So there's going to be a temple, it's going to be built, it's going to be on the Temple Mount and the outer court which is outside the temple will be trodden down the Gentiles for 42 months. The Bible says I'm going to show a picture now of what the temple layout. [00:27:01] Now you'll be able to see what the temple is all of the darker part of the outward is where the outward part of the Temple Mount is that contains the temple. [00:27:14] We know that the first two we have the altar, burnt offerings there and the laver. [00:27:20] And that is at the beginning of the outside of the outer court. Then you go inside the temple, we see the candelabra at the bottom of the temple we see the table of sure bread, those two circles there. [00:27:33] And then we see that square that's moved in there. That is the altar of incense where the worship was offered up. And inside the Holies of holiest of holies was the Ark of the covenant. So you can see all the aspects of the temple, the outer court, the holy place and the holiest of holies, and see all of these things are going to be there on the Temple Mount and we'll be able to view those things. [00:28:04] And some say that the temple is already prefab somewhere. They have it here. [00:28:10] And so that's just ahead of us because as soon as the confirmation to covenant happens, they are going to rebuild that temple and these things are going to happen. So there will have to be an international military force to keep the peace so that all people worship there that are there to worship, however their religion dictates that they do. So that that farther explains what the Bible says shall be trodden down by the Gentiles. Now Gentiles in the sense of the Old Testament tabernacle and temple refers to a non Jewish person. [00:28:46] So anybody who's not physically Jewish would be a Gentile in this sense. And so that can be anybody who wants the temple, who wants to worship on the Temple Mount will be considered Gentiles and they will have access to the outer court. [00:29:00] And even in the times of the Temple the outer court was called the court of the Gentiles. So Gentiles were always able to go to the outer court. And that we know that there were Roman soldiers there during the time of Jesus. And so we know that they are going to be an international force that will do this. Now numbers 19 states that a ritual cleansing of the people whose contact the dead body should be cleaned with the ashes of a red heifer of the third year. [00:29:30] So Israel has several red heifers now and they've had several for a few years now that have been qualified. And some of them obviously have been Burned already because the scriptures specify the red half of a third year. So they can't let it get older than that. So they'd have to go ahead and burn it and keep the ashes, which is what they did in the Old Testament. They had ashes stored somewhere. So whenever they needed ashes they could go and get it, get the ashes there. [00:30:01] And so that, that's why we know that they've had them when they, they, they've had red heifers there that are kosher, that are acceptable. And when they get to the third year, they probably have sacrificed several of those and kept the ashes. [00:30:15] And so we know that that is the case here. [00:30:19] And so we know that they've already sacrificed non red heifers just, you know, the same age, of the same weight and size, so that they would know how much they need to purify all of Israel. And they have enough red heifers now to purify all of Israel. Is what they say now. It says contact with a dead body. [00:30:46] That sounds weird to us, just saying contact with the dead body. But if you were an emergency room nurse or someone who was in a car accident by someone passed away in that or in your, in a house where one of your grandparents died or something, then that would be a situation where you've had contact with a dead body. I even just shook the hands of undertaker, I walked through a graveyard or something. And that would be contact with a dead body. [00:31:16] And so that will cleanse you from that contact so that you can go up to temple mountain. Worship in the temple. [00:31:23] When Israel completes the building of the Third Temple, the sacrifices will once again begin, which requires Israel to sacrifice a lamb in the morning and in the evening, which in the present state of the world's views, you know, this is going to look like a barbaric situation. [00:31:44] And Israel will have to do this every day, in the morning, in the evening. And so Israel will be called barbarians and, and all sorts of vile names because of this practice. You know, why is it necessary to kill a lamb? And I don't think I've ever seen a lamb or a picture of a lamb that wasn't cute. And so that's gonna drive the people crazy here. So this will continue and all the, the events of our next lesson will show what's going to happen as we approach the this, you know, we just, we're not very, very far away from this now. So far we've studied the war of a Third. We know that that's just ahead of us and that's A war that kills one third of mankind. [00:32:31] After that we've covered the confirmation of the Covenant which, which starts the final seven years to the battle of Armageddon. And now in the meantime after that happens, Israel will have to build their, their third temple because the next lesson here will show some of the events that has to happen at the midway point. So the temple will have to stand there at that time. So we know that the temple will be completed by the midway point of the final seven years that began at the confirmation of the Covenant. So Israel will complete their third Temple, sacrifices will begin once again. It requires them to sacrifice that lamb. [00:33:11] And that's going to be what it's going to look like. [00:33:15] And so we're going to look again at our chart here that now we see what we are right now. We know the Third Temple is number seven here. Now when we get to our next lessons that will require more than just one lesson to cover the events of number eight. Because we have the abomination desolation happening there. We have the war in heaven that we're going to have to talk about. [00:33:42] The two witnesses will begin their ministry and then we have the beginning of the Great Tribulation and all those things that happen there. [00:33:51] And so that is going to be a fantastic thing and that is just ahead of us. [00:33:59] And so there's a lot for us to talk about and we'll go into detail of these things more and more as we go through these lessons here. [00:34:10] And we'll be right back after this message. [00:34:18] If you'd like to give to the show to help us defray the cost and continue to bring you a quality product, you can do so by going to anamazingthing.com click the drop down bar.
