[00:00:01] I'm Rich Young iii and this is an amazing thing.
[00:00:17] I'm here to facilitate learning the word of God on a fundamental level.
[00:00:23] So join me and let's grow together and build a relationship with our creator.
[00:00:29] And that starts now.
[00:00:38] Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to an amazing thing. Thank you for joining me. This is our early week show where we deal with Bible prophecy, things that happen around the world, current events that let us know where we are in God's prophetic time clock. Our title of our show today is Give Me Time One week of years.
[00:00:58] This is the show is going to cover the event that's just ahead of us that will begin the final seven years that will end at the battle of Armageddon and the return of Jesus Christ.
[00:01:10] The Bible says that that man of sin will confirm the Abrahamic covenant with many and that is what will start back God's time clock rolling. That will affect us and that's just ahead of us. Now this may be something that many of you have never heard of before or never understood or never even knew that was in the Bible. But we're gonna break this down and cover this as best we can to help you understand.
[00:01:35] And we're gonna begin with the covenant. And the covenant that God made with Abraham is found in Genesis, chapter 15, verse 18.
[00:01:43] In that same day, the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying unto thy seed, I have given this land from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates.
[00:01:55] Whether we realize it or not, we are constantly bombarded with news about this covenant. When we see Israel in war with the Palestinians or with Hamas and Hezbollah or the surrounding nations of Israel saying that Israel doesn't have a right to exist there, that is direct discussion about the covenant that God made with Abraham 4,000 years ago. And so that's what we're going to just discuss today is that covenant. And we're always going to go to this, the prophecy that gives us events and the timeline of where we'll end up and what will begin the final seven years that is just ahead of us.
[00:02:38] And so at the time God gave Abraham this Covenant, he was 50 miles south of Jerusalem in a place called Beersheba. And so we know that the covenant was repeated with Abraham several times as well as with Isaac and with Jacob. So that is the lineal line that the covenant would go through would be them. Let us know and understand how this covenant pertains to the final seven years just ahead of us. We know that Abraham lived about 2,000 years after the fall of Adam and Eve, which was about 2,000 years before the birth of Jesus Christ.
[00:03:18] And so we have about 1500 years after that covenant was given.
[00:03:24] Israel is in exile at this time to the Babylonians. Nebuchadnezzar has come down, he's destroyed the temple and the city and they're now in captivity. When God gives Daniel the prophecy that gives us this timeline and the events and some of the events are the time frame that end their captivity. The building of the second temple, the coming of Messiah and his crucifixion, the destruction of the second temple and the city in the sanctuary being destroyed, and the event that will cause the seven years to begin. There are a group of things that will happen from that point that the book of Daniel tells us about there. And those events are the rebuilding of the third temple, also sacrifices beginning the revealing of the man of sin who, the one who makes that, who makes a covenant with many that we're going to find out who that is. The sacrifices are going to start and be stopped. The abomination of desolation is going to take place and the Israelites are going to. Some of them are going to stay out in the area of called Judea and that area is going to be given to the Palestinians, the same area that we call the west bank of the occupied territories. Some of the Jews are going to stay out there and they're going to be slaughtered, some of them, because they were told when you cease the certain event that we're going to discuss here, let those who be in Judea flee. Jesus is the one who gave that prophecy to them. And so we know that that's going to happen. And the world armies are going to encompass Israel and make war of them. So that is what we're going to discuss here in this lesson and quite important exciting lesson it is. We're going to begin with the prophecy portion of this that's found in Daniel chapter 9, verse 24 through 27. 70 weeks are determined upon thy people and upon the holy city to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity and to bring everlasting righteousness and to seal up the vision and the prophecy, to anoint the Most Holy. Verse 25 says, Know and understand that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the prince shall be seven weeks and threescore and two weeks the streets shall be built again and the wall even in troublous times, after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself. And the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary, and the end thereof shall be a flood unto the war. Desolations are determined. And he shall return, shall confirm the covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and ovulation to cease for the over overspreading of abominations. He shall make it desolate even until the consummation. And that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Now what this is telling us there are 70 weeks determined upon Israel. These are not weeks, these are weeks of years is what it's referring to. So we know in verse 24, the chapter of chapter nine, it says 70 weeks of years and three score and two weeks of years. So that gives us a total of 490 years.
[00:07:16] And that translates in a lot of Bibles, 70 sevens or 70 weeks of years. So we know that this prophecy encompasses 490 years. That's total from the command to restore Jerusalem until Messiah shall be 70 weeks of years plus three score and two weeks years. That totals 483 years. And so we know that one place it says in the middle of the week is when the abomination of desolation takes place in the final seven years. And so we know in many places the it tells us that these weeks of years are seven weeks of years. One place where it talks about this is in the book of Revelation, chapter 11, verse 1 and 2. John was given a reed like unto a rod and told to measure the temple and the altar and them that worship therein. But the outer court which is outside of the temple, leave out and measure it not, for it shall be given unto the Gentiles and the holy city they shall tread under foot 40 and two months, which equals three and a half years. So we know that three and a half years is half of the seven. So we know that John was told to measure. He's given a yardstick. If you have a, you can understand that measurement. We don't know how long the rod was, but it's a reference point for us and to measure the sanctuary and the those that worship there. And so we know there's going to be a temple standing there. You can't measure temple if there's not one there.
[00:08:59] And so and we know that don't measure the outer court, which would be trotting down the Gentiles 42 months. And we know that the outer court of where the temple stood, which is the Temple Mount, the Gentiles could all always go up there. You know, it was Roman soldiers there at the time of Jesus. So we know that that's going to happen again. In verse three of that same chapter of Revelation it says that my two witnesses shall prophesy 12, 60 days. That's also three and a half years. And we know that they start their, their ministry at the time of the great tribulation, which starts in the middle of the final seven years.
[00:09:42] So we can know from that. So the last part of the week is three and a half years. We know the first part of the week is three and a half years because it's in the middle. So then each of the seven years that's given in this prophecy would have to be seven years apiece. And so that I think we all know that because we have so many translates of translations of the Bible, they give us those details so we can know that. Now let's break down what happens at the time that was given to Daniel. Here we know 70 weeks are 490 years are determined upon Daniel's people, Israel and the holy city, Jerusalem. And it says from the going forth of this commandment was when these prophecies would begin from Daniel's point of view. So we know there were several commands given to rebuild Jerusalem in the sanctuary and the, the temple.
[00:10:42] And so we know that there are breaks in this prophecy where there was a break and then stopped and these things happen, another break. And there are two breaks in the prophecy that we can really, really see. And it's not going to make very much difference because after the second break it gives us something that we can determine an exact time frame of. There are two breaks in the prophecy. One between the seven weeks which is the 49 years. And it gives us a three story two weeks. So after the seven years, after the seven weeks which is 49 years and the 62 weeks, which is 483 years, we know that those two together are between the 69th and the 70th week. So that's a break right there that we can put our hands on because we know what happens in that break. Also there is a precedence for us being able to know that there are breaks in the word of God that we're not adding something to God's word because we know Satan. The Bible teaches that Satan was to tempt the human race for 6,000 years. Well, the Bible says that when Jesus returns, he'll be thrown into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years. He'll stay there for 1,000 years. And then after the thousand years is up, he'll be released for a little season to tempt the nations once more. We don't know how much, how long a little season is, but that has to be subtracted from the amount of time that he was given to tempt the human race. So we know that's going to be a thousand year break in his tempting. So we know that there are breaks between God's word of that was given to Daniel here. And so we can know that. And it doesn't really matter because another part of the prophecy lets us know that after 483 years, the seven week of years, the 62 weeks of years, that Messiah would come and be cut off. So that's something that we can know. The city of the sanctuary will be destroyed which happened in 70 AD by the people of the prince that shall come. We know that that was destroyed by the Roman General Titus in 70 AD so we can know when this thing happens. And these things start from the going forth of the command to build Jerusalem. That starts the 70 weeks of years of God's time clock that's determined upon Daniel's people here. The first command was given to rebuild Jerusalem came in in 538 BC. That's when Cyrus the Persian king had conquered the Babylonians and the Babylonian empire became the empire of the Medes and the Persians. So it was prophesied earlier in the book of Isaiah that a heathen Persian king would do God's bidding and rebuild the temple and the city and the walls and whatnot. And so probably somebody told Cyrus says Cyrus, you know, you and I holy books you in the Bible. Cyrus, he said what does it say about me? It says that you're supposed to rebuild our city, rebuild our temple and the wall and finance it. He said go get it. And when he they wouldn't got their holy books, you know, Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians had mainly left all of the holy books and things alone, that they kept them locked up somewhere and they didn't mess with that stuff. And so it was still intact. Somebody wouldn't get it and came back and brought it to Cyrus and he read it. Now this was given, we know that they had been in Babylonian captivity for 70 years. So it's after that and was written probably 100 years before they went into captivity. So this is a at least a hundred and some year old book that this was written about. So when Cyrus goes to get it, he knows he can trust it because it's been locked up and preserved. So once he read this and said the Cyrus, the king is supposed to do this, says I'm supposed to do that, all right.
[00:14:46] So he gives them permission to go back, start to rebuild and finances it. So that is one place where it was given to them to, to go back and rebuild Jerusalem. And so, and then the work on the temple was stopped after about 20 years. 520 Artaxerxes came in, says, you know, we can't be wasting all this money up on these people. We're not going to finance them building their city. We got things we want to do. And so he stopped it. But then Darius comes along and he realizes that the, the command was given by Cyrus the Persian king. The the Medes and the Persians were co ruling body of two different people. So when Darius saw that Cyrus had given the commandment to go and rebuild it, he reinstates it and he sends them back and they start back and so they are working on the temple. And you know, we know that the wall and everything was still dilapidated, what not around 445 B.C. and that's when Nehemiah went and finished the wall. And that was finished in a very, very short period of time, I think a few months or so. But that's almost a hundred years after the first command, 538 to 445, 90 some odd years. And this is when they finish the city in the sanctuary and rebuilt the wall. And so, and no matter when these commands were given to rebuild the temple, it's not going to matter because we know the Messiah was still to arrive at the same appointed time. The Bible said when the fullness of time came, these things happened. The Messiah was, was born. So after 49 weeks, which is seven weeks of years, 49 years, which is the seven weeks of years, there's a gap and then there is a period of 62 weeks of years.
[00:16:47] There's another gap when Messiah the prince would come and arrive and be cut off.
[00:16:52] So we know that a messianic figure showed up close around zero. Whether it was a little bit before zero or after zero. None of the calendars are truly correct, but it was around that time that he showed up. His ministry began at age 30.
[00:17:08] However long his ministry lasted. Now we don't know how long his ministry lasted. We know that there are three different passovers that Jesus attended.
[00:17:19] That is when where people assume that he was 33 when he died. We know his ministry started when he was 30 years old. So we know that happened when he would arrive, he came and was cut off. And then 30 years later, 35 years later or so, the city in the sanctuary was destroyed by the Roman general. Titus came in 70 AD. That's a historical fact. We know that happened.
[00:17:45] There's a historical fact of when that happened. So we don't we have to believe the Bible to know that happened. So let's review now what we've determined so far. We know that the covenant that is going to be an integral part of this study was given to Abraham back in Genesis 15:18. We know that. We know the conquering of the Babylonian empire by the Medio Persian empire happened. The Jewish exile ended by Cyrus the king and allowed the Jews to return and build Jerusalem and finance the building of the second temple and restore in Jerusalem. And after the temple, after the building of the temple and the restoration, Nehemiah would certainly have to begin. And so that ended the 483 starting point. One of those times began the 483 starting point upon the Jewish people by the prophet Daniel. So I hope I didn't confuse you too much. We know that from one of those commands to rebuild the temple to Messiah arriving would be 483 years. So that's, that's why it doesn't matter much when the breaks happen as long as we know when the Messiah would come and when he would be cut off. So this is where we are right now. So now let's go on to the second gap in the prophecy that would last 2000 years and two major events. Remember the prophecy said that from the going forth to restore and rebuild Jerusalem unto the arrival of the prince, the Messiah would be seven weeks of years, which is 49 years, 62 weeks of years, which is 434 years, a total of 483 years. Well after the 483 years determined were determined, a messianic figure showed up. Jesus Christ showed up at the bath of time that these things would be completed after fulfilling all the prophecies that the Messiah would fulfill in his first coming, Jesus was crucified. And so which certainly fulfilled the prophecy of being cut off. I mean crucifixion, that's the ultimate cut off right there. And as brutal of a death as that was at that time the prophecy stated that the Messiah would not be cut off for himself.
[00:20:18] Well, we know that Jesus never sinned. He never was, never was did anything while he had sin on him. He wasn't born of a human father. So we know that this happened. He was cut off. So he was killed for sin, but it wasn't for himself. Jesus was largely rejected by his own people because after they rejected him, that is what caused their city in the sanctuary to be destroyed. The law of sin and death is the law that rules mankind. All the mankind's resistance, existence. That was found first of all in Ezekiel chapter 18, verse 4. And it says the soul that sinneth, it shall die. And that's an Old Testament ruling of mankind, but it's also in the New Testament, so that never stops. So we think that the New Testament came to that didn't stop that, unless you are a part of the Lord Jesus family. So we'll, we'll learn about that in a minute. It's also in Romans, chapter 6, verse 23. The wages of sin is death, so it never stops. So that is still what rules mankind even today. And so this law allowed Satan for 4,000 years to exact death from the, from the, the guilty. So he, that's how he exacted death. So Jesus didn't owe this pentage, therefore he should not have been cut off, but he was. So that means he wasn't cut off for himself, he was cut off through Satan misusing his power and assuming that he's a human being. So therefore he must be sin. So I can still do this anyway. And so this allowed us, by obeying Jesus's death, which we will get to in future lessons, to be free of the law of sin, of death. So it's possible, even though that law of sin death continues in the New Testament, we can be free from it. And so this is, we'll get to that in the future lesson too. I don't want to bog down this lesson too much with so many different things. So the second thing that would happen after the 69th week, the 483, which is the seven weeks of years and the 62 weeks of years the city in the sanctuary would be destroyed. And this is a historic fact. And we have the date 70 AD which we discussed earlier. And the people of the prince that shall come, the Romans, led by the Roman general Titus, perpetrated all this act, so also made it illegal for the Jewish people to remain in Jerusalem. So it became they had to be scattered. And Jesus prophesied that it be scattered throughout the world. This caused desolation of the Jewish people to be sifted through the nations for almost 2,000 years. And so which fulfilled the statement that Jesus made in Matthew 23:37,38. This is what he said. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the Prophets and stones, them which are sent unto thee. How off would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen would gather her chickens under her wings. But you would not behold, your house is left unto you desolate. So that is the reason that the city and the sanctuary was destroyed. This prophecy was carried out and fulfilled so completely that some dispute where on the Temple Mount that the temple actually stood. Because this, you know, some people say it was over here, some people say it was over there. So they don't really know exactly where it stood because this prophecy was carried out so, so completely. Okay, now let us address the last verse of this prophecy.
[00:24:18] Just through the 2000 year gap of the prophecy, there is a 7 year time period that's left for us to talk about, which is left, which is the most amazing part of this prophecy because it's just ahead of us. We're going to be the people who see that now we're understanding these prophecies that many people wanted to understand and couldn't. But we are understanding them now because we are the people that these things are supposed to happen to. It says he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week, that final seven year period. The he refers to the last mentioned noun in the verse 26. It talks about that man of sin. That's the last mentioned noun is the man of sin. And so this is referring to him, the prince that shall come, that prince and definition that rule. The leader, head politician, however you want to define that. Remember the covenant that promised. This is Abraham's covenant that is promised was found in Genesis 15:18. This land belongs to you and your descendants forever. So Israel is in their proper place that was promised to God, to them forever. And so the man of sin is probably going to vote at the UN Security Council and say Israel has a right to exist there. We all acknowledge that. So they have a right to exist. Or at least the United nations will be the ones to say that Israel has a right to a homeland in that place.
[00:25:54] So whoever that man of sin is, he's going to confirm that. So that means he's going to be among a whole bunch of folks and say I agree with it. They may have a vote and just say if it's 190 people voting, just say he wanted the ones who vote yay confirmed the covenant. A lot of times we see words like confirm this. Well, if I was at work and we're going to determine what time we're going to have lunch. All of those who want to eat lunch at 1:30, let's vote and all of us say yay. The yays have it. We're going to have lunch at 1:00. Well, that's confirming what time we're going to have lunch. Well, this person is going to confirm the covenant that Israel has a right to to exist in this land. He's going to be among a people, a lot of people, because we're not going to know who he is until the midway point in the final seven years that the Bible says the the abomination of desolation. That's when we identify him. He's going to stand on the Temple Mount and do these things here. So this man will confirm the many for seven years.
[00:27:01] And the borders are not going to be the same as the borders that were given to to Abraham. But nonetheless it's going to confirm that Israel's rights exist. And that's the main part of the covenant that makes it what we're studying here today so important to us. The prophecy also says for one week they will not be able to come to a final conclusion. They're going to confirm the covenant for one week that Israel has a right to exist here. Well, we know that the sticking point is the Palestinians want East Jerusalem as their capital. Well, we saw the October 7 event where you had people coming, did the Hamas coming in and taking hostages and all these kinds of things. So Israel is not going to want those people that close to us. And they are never going to go along with that. I know it says he's going to confirm, but they're never going to go. So they're going to say we can't just stop everything else, all the progress we've made.
[00:27:59] Well, the final status, let's put that off for seven years and then we'll address it again. By that time we'll see that they can live together in peace and all these sorts of things. And so the prophecy for one week says that they'll not be able to have that final conclusion on Jerusalem. The Palestinians say we must have this East Jerusalem is our capital. But they weren't concluded at that time. So seven years later, now, three and a half years later, in the middle of the week, he that one world leader that is going to end up being a dictator. He's going to be probably elected at first, but as he gains power and gains a hold over these things and gains power all over the world, then he's going to tighten his grip and he's going to be someone that they're not going to be able to deal with he will cause the sacrifices and oblation to stop the sacrifices.
[00:28:52] We have to understand that when Israel's temple is built, their law, they don't believe that Jesus was the Messiah. So they will be under the Old Testament law. And that law says that they must have sacrifices in the evening, in the morning of each day. So they're going to be sacrificing lambs every morning and every evening of every day. And so. And the oblations, they're going to be bringing them, bringing offerings and such. And so this leader will cause that to stop. How he's going to claim that he is. Let me just read this. This is, this is quite a bit of this needs to be explained. We know that the Temple Mount is going to be shared by all people because the Bible tells us this is going to be that. John was told to measure the temple, but not the outer court or the city in the Holy Land because that'll be trodden down by Gentiles. And Gentiles in this case would mean any non Jewish person.
[00:29:57] Revelations 1, Revelation 11, verses 1 and 2 explains this. When John was told to measure the temple mountain, those who worship therein, but don't measure the outer court because it will be trodden by the Gentiles and the holy city will be trodden down to the Gentiles for 42 months. That is the second half of the final seven years. So we know from that point on that is when this is going to happen. So the, the first seven years will begin. The first of the seven years will begin halfway through the seven years.
[00:30:26] That's it'll be a peaceful kind of a thing. Israel will build the temple and then this event will happen on the temple map that will stir up all these problems for them.
[00:30:38] So Israel is going to be allowed to build the temple.
[00:30:42] Jewish law requires them to sacrifice. And we know God no longer dwells with temples made with hands. Every time we talk about these things, the Bible says someone brings that up.
[00:30:52] But Israel doesn't believe that because they don't believe the New Testament. So the act of this animal sacrifices will start again. The Jewish people will start looking forward to their Messiah. And the one world international leader that confirms this thing, that's a part of the people at the United nations or the UN Security Council that allows them to do this, will stop the sacrifices shortly and stand in the rebuilt, the rebuilt temple claiming to be Messiah. Now I don't know how he's going to do this, whether he's going to say, I'm Messiah, or I'm in charge here, he will claim sovereignty there somehow. And this event in the Bible is what's called the abomination of desolation. So that makes the 10th temple, the temple desolate. So obviously it's referring to the Jews. And so that's what the event is called, is when that man of sin who was a part of the world community, who voted three years, three and a half years prior to this, that Israel has a right to that promised land and a place there now, he's risen through the ranks. He's become a powerful, and the world will see him as someone who has the answers, the world's problems, and he'll be seen that way. And this is the beginning of him exerting his power. And now he's going to stop saying he's the Messiah. This event in the Bible is what's called the abomination of desolation.
[00:32:19] It won't stop. He, you know, it's an outrageous claim that he's going to make here.
[00:32:26] And the Bible says the overspreading of abomination. He goes out to change laws and times and add things to the word of God that the Bible didn't say. And so the overspreading of abomination, he's not going to stop there by saying I'm the Messiah. He's going to continue in these things and get more and more outlandish. He's going to exalt himself above all that is called God, claiming that he is God. Now, he probably won't stand up there and say I'm God, but he'll refer to things that people who understand the word of God saying that is what he's claiming to do. He's claiming to be. He's claiming that he's in charge, that he can. You can't do nothing with that. I say so. So if he does that at a place where so many times God said, I will put my name there. Well, we know that he's exhausting himself and claiming that he's God. And this is the event called the abomination desolation. And so when that happens, I don't know, this is going to somewhat defile the temple, the eyes of the Jewish people.
[00:33:28] I don't know how many people will continue to go to the temple after this event, but it won't be as many as it was at first because he makes it, maketh it desolate. So probably very, very few Jews will probably go down there to the temple after this event takes place. So we Know that the actions of this man, the Antichrist, that's when we identify that's who he is. Now probably most of the world still won't know who he is because the world is biblically unknowing of the things that in the Bible and what they mean until they probably think this is a great leader. And also he'll have a religious partner that is there with him that is confirming his right to stand there. And so that is going to be an amazing time that's just ahead of us. And so it's going to be amazing. So we will have to have future shows that shows all the things that the Antichrist will do, the things that he will say, all the oversprung spreading of abominations. But for the sake of this time, this particular lesson will continue the prophecy in Daniel chapter nine. This man will restrict our ability to buy or sell in the monetary system. So most of the world will be under his control that he's in control of, that won't be able to buy or sell unless they worship him. Now one of our definitions of worship would mean to depend on something or someone for your well being. Well, if this person has gained control of, of most of the world and the monetary system, our ability to buy and sell and trade, then if he can control the money, he can control you. And so unless we are born again people who are worshiping the one true God now, we are certainly going to have problems. But I don't plan to be one of the people who will worship him. So bring on the problems. And I, I would depend on God to protect me and most of the world will be under his jurisdiction. But I don't believe that America will and in future lessons will determine why that is so by that particular definition a lot of people will worship him. And so because he'll be control of the money. And when things get tight and you're not under God's protection and his seeing after us, then you know, things can get pretty tough. So the final seven years is just ahead of this. A troublesome times for most of the people of the world.
[00:36:13] So I'm happy to know that the end of the seven years of the Lord to put down human government and set up a kingdom that will never fade away. I'm certainly happy to know that that's very close.
[00:36:26] Um, but it is some troublesome times ahead. And so you'll see me bringing forth many, many other lessons. And this may or may not have been as clear as I would like it to be, but we're going to add to this and I kind of tried to put this together for the people who may have never heard this before to give you a reference point that we can build upon. And so that's what I've done here.
