[00:00:02] I am Rich Young iii. And this is an amazing thing.
[00:00:17] I'm here to facilitate learning the word of God on a fundamental level.
[00:00:24] So join me and let's grow together and learn, build a relationship with our Creator.
[00:00:29] And that starts now.
[00:00:41] Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to an amazing thing. This is our midweek Bible study, which is a continuing Bible study. And this happens to be the first lesson of it.
[00:00:51] So that when, no matter when you discover us here or tell your friends that we are doing these things, you can always go back to the beginning, catch up, or go back to the beginning and study at your own pace. So we're going to begin with an overview of the Bible and what we're going to be studying. And a lot of the things I talk about in this overview we will study in detail as we get to those.
[00:01:18] The Bible is not only the key to life, but it is the key to eternal life. And so that is a very, very important thing for us to study and learn and be absolute on so we can know what God is looking for in us.
[00:01:38] Let's start today by giving the an overview.
[00:01:43] The Old Testament starts out with the beginning. We know that the beginning was the inception of time that man was placed into.
[00:01:53] God lives in eternity.
[00:01:56] So when man fell, he put us into times to bring us back to a right place with him. So when it refers to in the beginning, that's what it's referring to.
[00:02:07] Creation, first man, Adam. We know there were two Adams. We know the New Testament refers to Jesus Christ as the second Adam. And so we will cover the aspect of that, of that particular thing there, the fall and the loss of sonship.
[00:02:27] There were no more sons of God mentioned in the Old Testament outside of angels until Jesus Christ came. And so when Adam and Eve failed, there were no more human sons of God. And the Bible says they were created sons of God. That includes Eve, which is a daughter. But for the sake of this lesson, sons does not do no gender. So Adam and Eve were both sons of God.
[00:02:57] We don't find another one until the coming of Jesus Christ. As we mentioned before, he came to beget many sons into glory. And so that is going to be an amazing thing when we get to that portion of our study.
[00:03:10] Jesus came as a second Adam to purchase back the original state of man and woman that Adam and Eve lost. So it was quite a lot of things that we lost when we failed to in learning of God, being obedient to his Word and these sorts of things. So we're going to spend quite a long Time talking about that. We also going to get to a man named Abraham.
[00:03:38] Abraham is known as the father of the physical people of God, the Jews. He's also the father of the spiritual people of God, the church. And we're gonna find that when God sees something as very important, he'll tend to spend quite a lot of time on that one subject matter. And that is the case here. God spends 11 chapters covering 2000 years. He gets to one man's life, Abraham, and spends 12 chapters on that one man's life. And that's quite a testament and tribute to Abraham that God would do that sort of thing.
[00:04:18] So we'll learn the word of God throughout. When God sees something very, very important. And we'll find that not just in the story of Abraham, but we'll find that throughout the word of God as the different subject matter relates to what we're studying, he spends more time on one thing than the other. We all know that that is because God sees that as a little bit more important.
[00:04:38] God made a covenant with Abraham and that covenant is still in existence today on the Mediterranean Sea. We know that God promised that land to Abraham and gave him the borders. And we will study that in know what we how we should view that today because there's quite a lot of that in the news. If you turn on the news today, that is still a prominent subject matter in our news. So we'll learn what that means. And we know that the covenant that God made with Abraham was an everlasting covenant. So we'll learn what that means. God told Abraham that his descendants would go into bondage in a country that was not their own for 400 years. And so we will see what happened during that. Quite a lot of what happened in the relationship between man and God happened during this time of their bondage. Next to Abraham is another man in the Old Testament known as Moses. Moses was known as the deliverer.
[00:05:47] And we know that God used Moses to deliver his people from the bondage to take into the promised land. And Moses was a giant figure, probably the most giant figure in the Old Testament, because the Bible says the law came by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. So the Old Testament and the law was synonymous with Moses. And so we'll learn why that is in. And Moses will also give us a glimpse of the Old Testament grace and truth, which is what the New Testament is about. And we can see that when we study the tabernacle plan, we will see grace and truth in that plan. And we will help see Those and understand what that was saying to us and what those people should have been looking for.
[00:06:43] We will also go into our study entering into the Promised Land, which would give us a look at disobedience and judgment. Exile as they lived in the Promised Land. We'll find out when the people were in a good state of relationship with the Lord. God brought them into the land and nourished them and provided for them. And when they disobeyed God and found themselves in a disobedient position, God exiled them or allowed people to come into into their part of their world and to take them captive in different things because of their disobedience.
[00:07:22] We will study the first Temple era.
[00:07:26] We know that the Bible can be studied and understood through Temple era. So we know the first temple started and lasted about 400 years. And then we entered to the second temple era. And in as of the time of this recording, within 80 years ago, we entered into the Third Temple era. There is no temple today. But we'll explain what we mean by that when we come to that part of our study.
[00:07:54] The Temple eras We know that Israel disobeyed God and it goes and they go into exile into Babylonian captivity for 70 years.
[00:08:06] We'll learn that this becomes Israel. As they disobeyed, like I said before, they would be cast off, put in exile. As they obeyed, God would allow them to be restored and he would build his relationship back with him. Actually, his relationship never stopped. But disobedience and sin always brings judgment. Even in the time that we live in, Disobedience and sin, always unrepentant sin always brings judgment. And we're going to learn why that is. So after the 70 years Israel in the Babylonian exile, Israel went back and this began the second Temple era.
[00:08:47] And we'll flow through the New Testament instead of these prophecies. From the first coming of the Messiah, Messiah is born to the second. He became the second Adam to correct all the mistakes of the first Adam, the teachings of Jesus and his life. We know that the central teachings of Jesus and why he came to this earth was to build his church and build his family.
[00:09:13] This will give us the cure for sin. He'll reconcile us and the kingdom of God. And the rejection of Jesus is going to happen in this study and he's going to be crucified and we're going to see the resurrection. We know that a lot of times bad news comes first, but good news follows in the word of God. So the redemption and the restoration of sonship in paradise that was lost by the first Adam was gained back by the second Adam, which was Jesus Christ. I heard a great man of God say one time that the first Adam fumbled the ball, but the second Adam caught the touchdown pass. And that really gives us a great look at what really, really happened. And I think you can look at that since that type of that and really understand everything that was lost by the first Adam was regained by the second Adam, Jesus Christ. And we are still exploring some of the things that was lost that we've gained back. And the fall was so great until we're still discovering things that were restored back to us that we may not even take advantage of today.
[00:10:30] We will move into the church age should the church age today should look just like the first church that was established 2000 years ago in the book of Acts, the rejection of Jesus and the Second Temple destroyed.
[00:10:47] Israel is exiled for nearly 2,000 years.
[00:10:52] We'll enter into the time of the Gentiles and God rebuilding his church throughout the world. We're going to study about that. We'll learn about the United States and the very, very famous Azusa Street Revival which was a major thing that happened in Christianity and happened to happen here in America. So we'll study about that prophecies about the second coming in the third Temple era. We'll study that and what that means to us. And that's going to mean a great deal God's view of false Christianity. We're going to learn about the rise of the Antichrist and the false prophet and talk about what that whole thing is going to be about because that's just ahead of us.
[00:11:38] We're going to learn about the second coming of Jesus and the battle of Armageddon. Satan is going to be abound for a thousand years and Jesus is going to be crowned King of Kings and Lord of Lords. And we'll go into a thousand years of of rule on this earth by Jesus Christ and and his church. And so we don't have a whole lot in scripture that we know about that, but we will be able to talk about the things that the Bible does give us. And then we'll get to the end of the human existence the great White Throne judgment and we will study world the Bible calls it worlds without end. And so that's going to be just what's ahead of us here. And so and we'll be back to to continue right after this message Foreign thank you all for being a part of an amazing thing. [00:13:40] Okay? Thank you for coming back with me here. We're going to begin here, the Bible.
[00:13:47] The Bible is God's instruction book for humankind.
[00:13:53] Every appliance that we've ever bought, toaster or whatever it is, microwave oven, comes with an instruction manual.
[00:14:03] I think a human being is too important not to come with an instruction manual. And that is what the Bible is, is our instruction book. And so that is what the Bible is. It shows us how we should live, what our relationship should be, so on and so forth. I'm going to begin by reading this scripture. This is second Timothy, chapter three, verse 16 and 17.
[00:14:30] All scripture is given by the inspiration of God. It is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfectly and thoroughly furnished into all good works. And so that is why the Bible is given to us, is our instruction book. And it gives us a description of what the Bible is there to do for us. We'll begin with doctrine. We know that the word doctrine is the statement of truth, that thing which should be believed, which must be believed if we're going to continue in a right relationship with our Creator. It's good for reproof. We know that reproof is evidence and rebuking wrongdoing, convicting a wrong belief system.
[00:15:26] And so we need reproof not only to show us where we're wrong, but where we're right also. It's good for correction to straighten out again, you know you're not doing that right. This is the way it should be done. The human being needs that. We need to be corrected, to give us a proper meaning, to lead us into a proper direction. And the word of God is certainly there to do that.
[00:15:53] Instructions in righteousness. Righteousness is a state of being, that it's a justification of character, which is what that is to educate, to train, to make innocent if you're justified of something, the definition of justification is to be made innocent or to be found not guilty. And so that is certainly what the word of God is there to do and to give us a correct belief system. And so we certainly need that. And the Bible is there to do that. And everything in the Bible is there to, to do that for us. I'm going to read this. This is First Timothy, chapter 4, verses 16. This is Paul writing to Timothy, take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine, continue in them. For doing this, thou shalt both save yourself and those that hear you. So this is telling us we can't be saved without sound doctrine. And so that is the doctrine is going to be something important for us to be able to understand, follow and listen to and to know that it is right for us.
[00:17:05] So we are saved by sound doctrine. This is another scripture that is helping us to understand the importance of what we're studying here. This is second Peter, chapter one, verse 21. For the prophecy came not in the old time by the will of men, but holy men of God spake as they were moved upon by the Holy Ghost. We know that through this statement and others that we're going to study in this, in this study. The Bible is written by God to men and women.
[00:17:38] Men wrote as the Holy Ghost dictated to them.
[00:17:42] I find quite a lot of people challenging the word of God and saying that man wrote the word of God. It's untrustworthy.
[00:17:50] But I have to point these scriptures out that they obviously don't know they're in the Bible to help us to know that the Bible can be trusted. It is the word of God and not some things just recorded by a bunch of people. In their opinion. God told these men what to write. Jesus said in John chapter 10, verse 35 that the Scripture cannot be broken. We know the word of God is forever settled in heaven. So we know that the Bible is written to teach us about God and how to have successful lives. The Bible is a road map to eternal life. And that certainly something that we should inspire to have. You know, this life the Bible teaches us is just a vapor. It's just a very short period of time. So we want to be able to spend eternity and go back into eternity with the Lord and spend eternity with him with no end to it.
[00:18:48] And so the Bible is a roadmap to that eternal life.
[00:18:53] Not our way, but God's way. You know, God is the creator, we are the creature. But sometimes we become so important in our own understanding the way we look at ourselves, we turn it around as if God is glad to have us, you know, and we should put things in a proper perspective. The Bible was written over a 1500 year period and so we know that it took all these different secretaries to record that for God. We know that by the Scripture in the New Testament, Romans chapter 3, verse 2, that the Jewish people were the oracles of God. So every word in the Bible, Old and New Testament, was written by a Jewish person. So that is quite a tribute to those people. You know, for a long time they, they are the physical people of God. And we'll learn about the spiritual people, God, the church, as we go along in this study. But that is quite an amazing thing that God will see it that way.
[00:19:58] The Bible deals with two major principles and you'll see that throughout the Bible. My, our relationship with him, the Lord our Creator, and our relationship with one another. The whole Bible deals with those two things.
[00:20:18] Men and women's relationship with their fellow men and women and the relationship we have with our Creator. How do we know that? Well, the Ten Commandments shows us that. That's proof that of those things, the first four of the Ten Commandments deal with us, our relationship with God, me and him. The second six, our relationship with each other, me and you. Well, let's look at that and it'll clearly show us that the first four, let's just read them.
[00:20:51] Commandment number one, Thou shall have no other gods before me. That certainly deals with our relationship with, with God.
[00:21:00] Number two, Thou shall make unto thee no graven image. We don't know what God looks like. So to make a graven image of him is not something that he wants us to do. Don't do that.
[00:21:15] Number three, thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. We should make God's name useless. And we see that in just idle conversation today where people would do that and use the God's name in vain over and over and over and over again. So God says, don't do that.
[00:21:35] Number four, remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Well, that certainly deals with our relationship with God. Okay, now let's look at the next six. The number five, honor thy father and thy mother.
[00:21:52] So that certainly deals with our relationships with one another. My father and my mother are fellow human beings and how my relationship should exist with them.
[00:22:03] Thou shalt not kill. That certainly deals with our relationship with our fellow man. Number seven, Thou shalt not commit adultery. Well, you're going to destroy your family.
[00:22:15] The person Other person's family, their kids are going to be in a broken home. And one act of that type of, you know, disobedience of God's word is going to cause trouble for so many people. And that certainly deals with our relationship one with the other. Thou shalt not steal.
[00:22:36] That's not yours. Don't take it from somebody else.
[00:22:41] Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. In other words, stop lying. You know, it did happen. Stop lying on somebody. And number 10, thou shalt not covet.
[00:22:53] God knows what we each of us need. And the things that our neighbor have, maybe something that God sees they should have, but we should not cover and desire to have the things that God has blessed them with. So we can look from the Ten Commandments and certainly see our relationship with God and our relationship with our feather fellow man.
[00:23:13] There was a man who came to talk to Jesus in the New Testament and he asked him, lord, what is the great commandment in the law? And Jesus answers him, this happens in Matthew 22:36, 40. He says, Master, which is the great commandment in the law. And Jesus said unto him, thou shall love the Lord with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and, and with all thy mind. And I'm going to give you two. Two for one. You asked for one. I'm going to give you two. Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. Well, if we keep these two commandments, we've kept them all. If I'm going to love the Lord with all my heart, my mind, I'm doing, I'm keeping the first four. And if I love my neighbor as myself, I'm going to keep the next six. So Jesus answers those. And it's amazing how we continue to see this and we'll continue to see that principle throughout the word of God.
[00:24:11] He says, and Jesus told the young man, and these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. So all the law and the prophets deal with these two subjects.
[00:24:22] Okay, the old. We're going to cover and compare the Old Testament to the New Testament. And so let's start with, with the word Testament. The Testament is someone's will. This is what I want from you. Well, there's an old will of God, what I wanted you at that time. And there's a new will of God, which is what I want from you right now. A lot of times we have to get to an understanding of a certain level of basic understanding before we can get to the more prevalent thing. If I don't know my times tables, it's going to be very, very hard for me to, to do algebra, geometry or something. Uh, and so that is the, if you look at it from that point of view, that will help us to be able to understand this.
[00:25:17] The law was, was brought to give us an aspect of righteousness, not in the fullness of what righteousness is, but to give us an understanding of what we're looking at. The Old Testament was a bridge to get us to true righteousness, which is the New Testament. The Old Testament is. This is synonymous with the law.
[00:25:40] So when you think about the law in the Old Testament, those things are synonymous with each other.
[00:25:45] As we study, you'll see a lot of times the characters in the Bible were referred to the law. They referred to Moses, they referred to the Old Testament, or they did call it the Old Testament then. But that's what they're referring to. They're really referring to the law. And what the law did for human beings, which gave us an understanding of sin is what that is. So a lot of times they'll use the law in the place of sin. They'll use Moses in the place of law and these sorts of things.
[00:26:19] Galatians, chapter 3, verse 20, 24, where the law, it says that the law was a schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ that we might be justified. So that means there's no justification until we get to cross, get to Jesus and the cross. But the law was a schoolmaster to teach us what law is. You know, when you think about the righteous law, keep the rules and you'll live.
[00:26:48] And so that's what the law comes to teach us for. So let's read this. This is Romans, chapter 10, verse 5, which will solidify what I just said. For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, that the man that doeth these things shall live by them. Keep the law, you will live in the Old Testament. The Bible gives us the definition of what rules mankind. There was one rule that rules mankind is it's found in Ezekiel 18:4. It says, the soul that sinneth, it shall die. And that's also in the New Testament. So that never changes. That continues through throughout time in the existence of man.
[00:27:36] So the soul that's in it shall die. So when Adam and Eve fail, we know that that plunged us into sin. So now we in a death situation, and the Lord has to come and constantly bring us something to help us to survive and still not be lost until we can get to a certain point. And so knowing that we'll continue with this, so the the Old Testament a person worked unto righteousness. In the New Testament we believe.
[00:28:05] Well, we know there is no work that you can, you know, that is not by works. And we find people will constantly give us that scripture when they hear people refer to things we don't. We're not saved by works. Well, we know that and so we know the New Testament we believe. But when we go through these in these studies will add some things to us to bring us to a more complete understanding of what these things mean.
[00:28:35] This is Romans, chapter 10, verses 6 through 9. But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise. Say not in thine heart who will ascend into heaven, that is to bring Jesus down from above, or who will descend into the deep, that is to bring Christ up from the dead. But what saith it? The word is near thee, even in thy mouth, in thy heart. That is the word of faith is which we preach. If thou shall confess with thy mouth that Jesus is Lord Jesus and shall believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. Now that is a statement of truth. But there is more that that go over this. As we cover more scriptures, we'll add to bring more clarity to that that is found in an epistle. An epistle is another word for letter that we find in King James English. If I wrote you a letter and we spoke King James English, I would write you an epistle. Or if I sent you an email, I'm going to send you an epistle. That's what they're saying. If I start reading somebody's mail and I don't know the people or the condition of the people that the letter is written to, that I may be taking things in my own understanding, that is a misunderstanding. And we will cover those things too. So we'll cover this scripture that I just read a lot more in the future because. Because of what it represents here and to give us a on a more amazing understanding of this. And we know that James wrote in James 2, verse 14 that belief or faith without a work is dead. Being alone we have as human beings and a definition of what we say belief is.
[00:30:41] We say belief is coming to a conclusion in my mind. Well, that's good. Not God's definition of belief, at least not in its entirety. God's definition of belief is to come to a conclusion in my mind that's accompanied by a physical act that corresponds to what I say I believe. If I say I believe something and you don't see me doing a corresponding act according to James in the book of James. That's not true belief. And so God is the one who determines whether you believe or not. So let's do it his way. And so that helps us to understand this.
[00:31:22] The Old Testament is designed to give us knowledge of sin. And that's what the Old Testament is designed to do.
[00:31:31] So Romans 3:20 says, Therefore by the deed of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight. For the law is the knowledge of sin. We know that, at least here in America, we see signs on the side of the road that tell us what the law is when kids are in school in a certain time of the day, the speed limit is 20 miles per hour. And then underneath the sign, it tells you what the punishment is if you exceed 20 miles per hour when the kids are in school. So that's what the law did. It could tell you what you were doing wrong. And the punishment, well, 18, Ezekiel 18:4 already told us what the punishment was. The soul that sent it shall die, so you'll be separated. And so if we can take this from that point of view, we know that the New Testament came to give us hope to cure sin. And we can read about that in Romans chapter 6, verse 17 and 18.
[00:32:32] So the old Testament was designed to give us condemnation, to convict us all of guilt, to drive us to know we need to correct this thing. Lord, I'm sorry I did it. I need correction from this. So that's what the Old Testament came to give us knowledge and to drive us toward repentance so we can look for what the answer is that corrects us from this. Okay, when we get to the New Testament, it came to give us freedom from guilt. If I know that I can believe on Jesus Christ, obey what he asked me to obey, I can be forgiven of whatever it is. I can ask for forgiveness, ask the Lord to forgive me and say, I won't do this thing again, and I can be justified. Lord said, okay, you're forgiven. You're made innocent of this. And this is something that we have to learn here. It says In Romans, chapter 8, verse 1 and 2, there is therefore no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. So once I'm in Christ Jesus and become a part of his family, then there is no more condemnation from that I don't have to feel so guilty and so separated from God from that.
[00:33:45] And so, and it goes on to say, for the, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. So When I am born again into the kingdom of Jesus Christ, it separates me from that old man. And now I'm free. I'm living free. I live under the spirit of life. There is no separation when I live under the spirit of life. And so that's what this scripture is here to show us. So we will cover this more in upcoming lessons. And like I said, this is an overview of the things that we're going to study. And even if you listen to this and it seems somewhat confusing to you, you can know that we'll get to it and we'll cover it and break it down to a level that can be understood. And so, and we throughout these lessons, we will have the occasion to cover things more than once. So never feel that way. And if you have a question about something we're going to cover in these lessons, you can always ask that question through questions at an amazing thing Calm. And we'll quick answer some of those questions on the air so you'll be able to get the answers that you're seeking there.
[00:35:00] Colossians, chapter 2, verses 16 and 17 says, Let no man therefore judge you in meat or drink or respect of a holiday or the Sabbath days, which are a shadow of things to come. But the body of Christ.
[00:35:18] So there are a lot of things that were given to us in the Old Testament that were perpetual. I get a lot of different belief systems coming to me. When you teach lessons like this, you have people sometimes asking questions, sometimes challenging you on that. But this is those things are type and shadow. And that means it's not the actual thing. This is representative of the thing. And when the thing comes, it'll be the reality to be the real thing that this is a type and shadow of. So some of those things are meats, some foods that we were forbidden to eat in the Old Testament. Sometimes, you know, the Sabbath day, a lot of people will ask questions like, should the Sabbath day be observed like it was in the Old Testament? Well, we're going to answer those questions too. And so we'll be able to know the answer to those things.
[00:36:14] So when we look at the Old Testament is, I can't because the Old Testament didn't give me a cure for it, but I can through Jesus Christ, because he is the cure. And we will learn why that is too. And so we know that we don't get good to make to get God. We get God, so he makes us good. I see a lot of people saying, I'm going to get good enough. I'm going to come to church. If I come to church, the ceiling would fall in. Well, you're never going to get good enough to get God. If you could. And why would you need to come to church? So what this description is trying to show us, you get God and he's the one who makes you good. So we'll learn what that means as we go through this too.
[00:36:59] The Old Testament and the New Testament. What's the difference between those two things? As we started at the beginning, the Old Testament is the old will of God, the New Testament of the New will of God. But we're going to break each of these things down.
[00:37:13] First of all, the old testament has 39 books in it.
[00:37:18] How do we break that down so we never forget how many books in the Old Testament well, have a way you can do that. The word old has three letters. The word testament has nine letters. You put them together, 39. The Old Testament has 39 books. And so that way you'll never forget. How come the old testament has 39 books? The old testament is broken up into five categories. And what are those categories? The law is one category. And there are books that fall under the law which are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. Those are the law. So when you see people talk about the law is synonymous with these five books, then the second category we have is history.
[00:38:08] And there are a number of books in history. Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1st Samuel, 2nd Samuel, 1st Kings, 2nd Kings, 1st Chronicles, 2nd Chronicles, is Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther. These are mainly dealing with the physical people of God. And so that's what they're dealing with upon the earth, earthly physical people of God, the Jews. And that's what these, these books deal with. Then we have poetry. The books of poetry are Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon. So all of those are considered poetry.
[00:38:50] And we have two more categories to go. One of them is major prophets. That is Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel and Daniel. These are called major prophets not because they're more important. Their preaching is more important than other places in the Bible. But these preachers are long winded. When they were preaching people, everybody was looking at their watches, talking about when it's going to be time for us to get go to lunch. These people, are they ever going to quit preaching? And so they were long winded. And I don't mean to make fun of that, but to give you an example of what that is. And also we have the minor prophets, and that is Hosea, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zachariah, and Malachi.
[00:39:37] And these are considered minor prophets. They preached a sort a short sermon and so they weren't very long winded. And so that's why they're called minor prophets. And these are put together in certain way. A lot of preachers will say that that tell us the characterization of these books are not biblical. But there's nothing wrong with this characterization if it helps us to understand what God is saying to us, helps us to know where these things can be found and how they're catch characterized. So there's nothing wrong with that. Also, the books are grouped, they're not grouped in chronological order, so you can't start in the beginning and read all the way through because you got this book was written the same time as this book was. But they're put in a category so we can easily maneuver and understand what was saying with what it's saying here. So they're not in chronological order and so they're grouped in a way for a comprehensive study is why they're grouped that way. And so we'll learn how to maneuver through the word of God when we get to that point.
[00:40:46] Okay, well that is a look of how the Old Testament is broken down. Now we still have to cover the overview of the Bible and we're going to have to do that. But this is what time permits us to do here in this one lesson. So the lesson won't be so long until we aren't able to comprehend what we're studying here. So you'll find that our midweek study will be such that it's a certain amount of time and we'll just continue to go along and you can go back over this again and know what it is that we need to to know.
